About Me

Growing up, I was the kid who always had a book by my side and read it everywhere. When I turned 15, I began writing fairy tale stories and posting them online, finding a helpful and fun community in fellow teen writers. Almost 10 years later, I am still writing those stories! Knowing one of my favorite authors, Annette K. Larsen, was self-published and thriving really pushed me to be brave and start sharing my characters and worlds more widely. I write what I read and adore.
There's just something about settling in during a cozy evening with stories of far-off kingdoms, feisty princesses, and dashing princes that has always been a comfort to me. My dream is to be able to share some of the comfort and hominess that my favorite fairy tale authors have provided me with for years. I firmly believe that our favorite stories tell us things about ourselves we'd never know otherwise, whether that be an earnest desire for Jane Eyre's moral compass, a gentle hopefulness like Lucy Pevensie, or the beautiful self-acceptance that Gail Carson Levine's heroines always stumble upon. In my stories, I hope you find a glimmer of yourself and of the way God sees you--fully loved and fully known.

Q&A
What is your favorite book?
Jane Eyre! Every time I read it identify with a new character. When I was young, it was Jane. In college, it was St. John. And now, if I'm honest, it's Rochester.
Why fairy tales?
I'm a huge believer in the idea that stories can teach us theology in a way much deeper than reading information off a page can. Our beliefs about God shape our view of ourselves, others, and how the world works--my stories are an outworking of those queries and questions as I wrestle with theological concepts myself and grow in my own faith. I hope they bring you comfort in knowing that you're not alone in your spiritual wrestling!
Where do you come up with your stories?
Usually, I get a snippet of a story in my head-- a relationship, a plot twist, a setting I find interesting... it could be anything. And then I write until some sort of plot structure forms around it.
What do you do in your free time?
I am very lucky to live near many beautiful hiking trails with forests, lakes, and mountains galore. I'm a huge dork when it comes to birdwatching and having a cup of morning tea with my husband while we devour the latest British soap opera (currently binging "All Creatures Great and Small"). Besides that, I love baking, exploring museums, and basically anything you could consider cozy~
What story is coming our way next?
After my short story collection, I'm so excited to share that I'm working on my first fairy tale retelling, aimed for a spring 2026 release. It will be loosely based on the story of Cinderella, with some fun twists to the tale to make it my own :)
